Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is better than the Sony Xperia XZ3, getting an 89.4 score against 79.6. Both phones in this review have the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect. Although Huawei Mate X is newer than the Sony Xperia XZ3, it is just a bit thicker and a lot heavier.
The Xperia XZ3 has a more vivid display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a little worse 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display. The Huawei Mate X counts with a lot bigger memory for apps and games than Xperia XZ3, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 and Huawei Mate X have extremely similar CPUs, and although the Sony Xperia XZ3 has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Huawei Mate X counts with improved battery life than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZ3 features a better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much smaller sensor taking way worse quality photographs, a way less megapixels camera in the back and a tinier aperture.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Sony Xperia XZ3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia XZ3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia XZ3, giving up a couple features and specs.
