The Huawei Mate Xs is slightly better than the Galaxy Note9, with a score of 91.6 against 87.1. The Huawei Mate Xs design is newer, but somewhat thicker and heavier than the Galaxy Note9. The Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate Xs, because although it has a way smaller screen and a quite lower 1440 x 2960px resolution, it also counts with a just a little better display pixel density.
The Huawei Mate Xs has a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 and Huawei Mate Xs both have quite similar processors, and although the Samsung Galaxy Note9 has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
Huawei Mate Xs captures a little bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos or video in low light environments and worse 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate Xs also counts with a way larger sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures and a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Huawei Mate Xs has just a little bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note9, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
