Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has the older 5.1 version while Huawei nova 2 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s design has the same thickness than Huawei nova 2 Plus, but it is a little bit lighter.
The Huawei nova 2 Plus has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Huawei nova 2 Plus also has a larger number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a sharper display than Huawei nova 2 Plus, because it has a bit larger display, more pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440.
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ features a better camera than Huawei nova 2 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures or video in low-light situations, it also counts with a much better video resolution and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera. The Huawei nova 2 Plus features a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Huawei nova 2 Plus also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
Huawei nova 2 Plus features just a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 3340mAh of battery capacity.
