Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is better than Huawei nova 2's global score of 74.2. Both phones we are comparing here come with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei nova 2 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star design is newer than the Huawei nova 2's, but it is a bit thicker and extremely heavier.
The Huawei nova 2 has just a bit better looking display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a lot smaller display and a little worse 1080 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixel count per screen inch. Galaxy A8 Star captures better videos and photos than Huawei nova 2, because it has a much better 3840x2160 video definition, a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a larger camera aperture for better images and videos in low-light situations.
