The Huawei nova 9 Pro is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, getting a 79.3 score against 76.4. Huawei nova 9 Pro's design is noticeably newer and just a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Mi 5s's, although it's also way heavier.
