The Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Huawei P20 Lite, getting an 82.1 score against 75.4. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it gives some nice extra features and performance enhancements. Although the Galaxy A8 Star is better than Huawei P20 Lite, we must tell that it is also a notably heavier and just a little thicker cellphone.
Galaxy A8 Star and Huawei P20 Lite count with extremely similar processing units, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has a larger amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. Huawei P20 Lite has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher pixel number per display inch and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2280px.
Galaxy A8 Star features slightly more memory capacity to install games and applications than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 400 GB. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has better battery lifetime than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a 23 percent larger battery size.
The Galaxy A8 Star takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have a camera in the back with a 16 mega-pixels resolution, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a way better video resolution and a way larger diafragm aperture for better photography and video in poorly lited environments.
