Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 is a bit better than Huawei P20 Lite, getting a 79.6 score against 75.4. Both phones in our current comparison come with Android OS, but the Xperia XZ3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo. Although the Xperia XZ3 is better than Huawei P20 Lite, we must note that it's also a incredibly thicker and extremely heavier device.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P20 Lite. Both have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores. Sony Xperia XZ3 has a sharper screen than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen, a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and a bit bigger display.
The Xperia XZ3 captures much better photos and videos than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has a bigger aperture for better low-light images and video, a back camera with more megapixels and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a bit more memory for games and applications than Huawei P20 Lite, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Xperia XZ3 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Xperia XZ3 features just a bit longer battery performance than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has an 11% greater battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P20 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P20 Lite. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Huawei P20 Lite, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
