Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s is a bit better than the Huawei P20 Lite, with a score of 76.4 against 75.4. Xiaomi Mi 5s's body weights the same than the Huawei P20 Lite, but it is just a bit thicker. Both phones in this review include Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi 5s has an older 6.0 Marshmallow version while Huawei P20 Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Huawei P20 Lite features a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei P20 Lite also has 4 more cores. Xiaomi Mi 5s has a little sharper screen than Huawei P20 Lite, although it has a quite smaller screen, a little bit lower display density and a quite lower 1080 x 1920 resolution.
Huawei P20 Lite has just a bit bigger memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Xiaomi Mi 5s shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Huawei P20 Lite, because although it has a back facing camera with lot less mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video definition and a larger camera aperture to capture better low light photography and video.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has a bit superior battery lifetime than Huawei P20 Lite, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Huawei P20 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P20 Lite. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Huawei P20 Lite, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
