Huawei Mate 30 5G is much better than the Huawei P20, having a general score of 87.4 against 78.1. Huawei Mate 30 5G's body is newer, but just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier than Huawei P20. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate 30 5G has older 10 version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei Mate 30 5G has a little better hardware performance than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Huawei P20 counts with just a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2244px resolution and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit better pixel count in each inch in the screen.
Huawei Mate 30 5G captures better photographs and videos than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same camera aperture, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also has a lot better 40 mega pixels resolution back camera, a way bigger sensor which offers a way higher image and video quality and faster video frame rates.
The Huawei Mate 30 5G's memory to install applications and games is very similar to Huawei P20's one, both have the same 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 30 5G has longer battery life than Huawei P20, because it has a 4200mAh battery size against 3400mAh.
