Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is better than the Huawei P20, getting a general score of 89.4 against 78.1. These devices use the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system, so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect. Huawei Mate X's construction is newer than Huawei P20's, but it is a lot thicker and heavier.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a little sharper display than Huawei P20, because although it has a quite worse screen density, it also counts with a way bigger screen and a lot better resolution of 2200 x 2480px. The Huawei Mate X features a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei P20, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
Huawei Mate X features a much bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei P20, because it has 512 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X counts with improved battery life than Huawei P20, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3400mAh. The Huawei P20 takes better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a back facing camera with way less megapixels resolution and a much tinier sensor capturing much worse quality videos and images, they both have a F1.8 camera aperture.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P20. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P20, resigning some features and specs.
