Comparison review

The LG V30S ThinQ is slightly better than the Huawei P20, getting an 82.5 score against 78.1. The LG V30S ThinQ is a just a little bit lighter and a little thinner cellphone than Huawei P20, even when they were released only a couple months apart. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the LG V30S ThinQ has older 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.

LG V30S ThinQ has a slightly better screen than Huawei P20, because it has a bit bigger screen, a better display pixel density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880. LG V30S ThinQ counts with a little faster processor than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 cores, the LG V30S ThinQ also has a higher amount of RAM memory.

LG V30S ThinQ counts with a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Huawei P20, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the LG V30S ThinQ also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei P20 counts with a bit better battery lifetime than LG V30S ThinQ, because it has a 3400mAh battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.

Huawei P20 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a camera in the back with a lot lower resolution, a lower video definition and a tinier aperture which is not so good for taking photographs in low-light situations, it also counts with a lot larger sensor providing a much higher image quality.

Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P20. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Huawei P20, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
