Comparison review
The Huawei P20 has a general score of 78.1, which is slightly better than Moto Z2 Play's 77.4 score. The Huawei P20 design is newer than the Moto Z2 Play's, although it's way thicker and somewhat heavier. Huawei P20 features a bit better processing power than Moto Z2 Play. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM.
Huawei P20 features just a bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a slightly better 1080 x 2244 resolution, a little bit more pixels per display inch and a little larger display. The Huawei P20 features a slightly better camera than Moto Z2 Play, although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for capturing pictures in low-light environments, they both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same video frame rate and the same video definition.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with much more memory to install applications and games than Huawei P20, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. Huawei P20 features a bit longer battery performance than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 3400mAh battery size.
Although Huawei P20 is a better device, it costs more money than the Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto Z2 Play. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei P20, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Moto Z2 Play, giving up a couple specifications.
