Comparison review
Galaxy M40 has a general score of 85, which is a bit better than the Huawei P20's 78.1 global score. These phones have Android operating system, but Galaxy M40 has older 10 version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie. Although Galaxy M40 is newer than Huawei P20, it's a little bit thicker and a bit heavier.
Huawei P20 has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a little worse 1080 x 2244 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a bit better quantity of pixels in each inch in the display. The Huawei P20 has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy M40, although it has lesser RAM, they both have 8 cores.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei P20, because although it has a smaller sensor which provides a lower photo and video quality, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video definition, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also counts with a larger aperture and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P20, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Galaxy M40 features just a bit better battery lifetime than Huawei P20, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity instead of 3400mAh.
