Comparison review
Galaxy S5 has a score of 80.8, which is slightly better than Huawei P20's 78.1 global score. Even though Galaxy S5 is notably older and a little bit thicker than the Huawei P20, it's construction is still somewhat lighter. Both devices in this review use Android operating system, but the Galaxy S5 has 4.4.2 version and Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a more vivid screen than Huawei P20, because although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixels density. The Huawei P20 counts with a superior memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
Galaxy S5 has a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P20, because although it has a lower number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a GPU. The Huawei P20 has superior battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 21% more battery size. Samsung Galaxy S5 has a camera that is just as good as the Huawei P20 one, because although the Samsung Galaxy S5 has a tinier aperture and a tinier camera sensor capturing lower quality photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, it also counts with a back-facing camera with way more MP.
Although Galaxy S5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P20. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Huawei P20, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
