Comparison review
Huawei P20 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, with a 78.1 score against 78.1. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version, so it offers some additional features. Huawei P20's body is noticeably newer and just a little bit thinner, but heavier than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus.
Galaxy S5 Plus has a much better screen than Huawei P20, because although it has a little bit worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit better pixel count in each inch in the screen. Huawei P20 has a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a bit better performance than Huawei P20, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and 2 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Huawei P20 features superior battery performance than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 3400mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
Huawei P20 takes slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a lot lower resolution back camera and a worse 3840x2160 video resolution, it also counts with a bigger back camera sensor capturing better quality photographs and videos and a larger diafragm aperture to take better photography and videos in low-light situations.
Although Huawei P20 is a better device, it costs a bit more than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei P20, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, resigning some specifications.
