Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has an overall score of 82.2, which is a bit better than Huawei P20's 78.1 overall score. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is way heavier and incredibly thicker than the Huawei P20. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little better hardware performance than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a lot better screen than Huawei P20, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840px and a lot higher screen density. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a quite bigger storage for applications and games than Huawei P20, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 400 GB.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little better battery life than Huawei P20, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a slightly better camera than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same video quality, the same 30 fps video frame rate, a same size camera aperture and the same sensor size, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a lot higher resolution back camera.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P20. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Huawei P20, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
