Comparison review
Huawei P20 has a global score of 78.1, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's 77.7 global score. The Huawei P20 is a a little lighter cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, but both of them are 0.3inches thick. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo, giving you some additional features and improved performance.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's CPU is just as good as Huawei P20's processor, and although the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has more RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Huawei P20 features a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a little worse 1080 x 2244px resolution, it also counts with a quite greater display pixel density.
The Huawei P20 features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a back facing camera with a 12 mega pixels and the same video definition, the Huawei P20 also has a larger back camera sensor shooting higher quality photographs and a larger diafragm aperture for better photos and video in poorly lited situations.
The Huawei P20 and the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite both have similar memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both have equal 128 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a battery life that is very similar to Huawei P20's battery performance, although the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has just 3350mAh battery size.
