The Xiaomi Mi A3 has a score of 79.2, which is a little bit better than Huawei P20's 78.1 general score. Xiaomi Mi A3 is a newer cellphone than the Huawei P20, but it's just a little thicker and a bit heavier. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but Xiaomi Mi A3 has the previous 11 version and Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei P20 features a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi A3. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU. Huawei P20 features a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi A3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better pixel density and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels.
Xiaomi Mi A3 counts with a superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P20, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Xiaomi Mi A3 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Xiaomi Mi A3 takes much clearer videos and photos than Huawei P20, and although they both have a same size camera aperture, a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor, the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Mi A3 also has a camera in the back with a way better resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 has better battery lifetime than Huawei P20, because it has 4030mAh of battery capacity.
