Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a global score of 79.6, which is a bit better than the Huawei P30 Lite's 77 score. Although it's the best in our current comparison, Sony Xperia XZ3 is a heavier and much thicker device than the Huawei P30 Lite. These devices have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a sharper display than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2880 resolution and more pixels per display inch.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Huawei P30 Lite. Both have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores. The Huawei P30 Lite counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Huawei P30 Lite also has 128 GB internal storage.
Sony Xperia XZ3 takes much better photos and videos than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low light captures and videos, a tinier back-facing camera sensor shooting worse quality photos and a much less mega-pixels camera in the back, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
Xperia XZ3's battery performance is very similar to Huawei P30 Lite's battery duration, although the Xperia XZ3 has 3330mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P30 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P30 Lite. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Huawei P30 Lite, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
