Comparison review
The Huawei P30 Lite has an overall score of 77, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s's 76.4 general score. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P30 Lite has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Huawei P30 Lite's body is notably newer and a little bit thinner than the Xiaomi Mi 5s's, although it is also a bit heavier.
The Huawei P30 Lite features a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Huawei P30 Lite also has more cpu cores. The Xiaomi Mi 5s has a little sharper screen than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better amount of pixels in each display inch.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a tinier camera sensor, a much worse 12 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a smaller aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and video, it also counts with a way higher video quality.
Huawei P30 Lite counts with a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Huawei P30 Lite also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Huawei P30 Lite has just a little bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 3340mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Mi 5s. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei P30 Lite, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi 5s, letting go a couple specs and features.
