Huawei P30 has an overall score of 81.7, which is a bit better than Google Pixel 2's 81.6 overall score. The Huawei P30 construction is newer and just a little bit thinner than the Google Pixel 2's, but it is heavier. Huawei P30 has a little better hardware performance than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P30 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Google Pixel 2 has a little more vivid screen than Huawei P30, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little better screen density. The Google Pixel 2's storage for applications and games is just as good as the Huawei P30 one, both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Huawei P30 has a really longer battery life than Google Pixel 2, because it has 3650mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh. Huawei P30 has a much better camera than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same camera aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Huawei P30 also has a way bigger sensor taking much higher quality videos and photos and a lot higher resolution back camera.
Although Huawei P30 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 2. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Google Pixel 2, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
