Comparison review

Galaxy Note9 is a bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite, with an 87.1 score against 79.5. The Galaxy Note9 is an older, just a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker cellphone than the Huawei P40 Lite. Galaxy Note9 has a little more vivid display than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a same size display, the Galaxy Note9 also has a better 1440 x 2960px resolution and more pixels per screen inch.

Galaxy Note9 has a very superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Note9 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB. Galaxy Note9 features a bit superior processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite. Both of them have a 6 GB RAM and 8 CPU cores.

The Huawei P40 Lite has a little longer battery life than Galaxy Note9, because it has a 4200mAh battery size against 4000mAh. The Huawei P40 Lite has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for taking photos in low-light environments and slower video frame rates, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot better image and video quality and a back camera with a lot better resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P40 Lite. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Huawei P40 Lite, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
