Huawei P40 Pro is much better than the Huawei P20, getting a general score of 88.2 against 78.1. Even though Huawei P40 Pro is newer than Huawei P20, it is heavier and somewhat thicker. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS, but the Huawei P40 Pro has 10 version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei P40 Pro counts with just a bit better looking screen than Huawei P20, because it has a little bit higher resolution of 1200 x 2640, a little bigger display and a just a bit greater display pixels density. Huawei P20 counts with as much memory for applications and games as the Huawei P40 Pro, they have the same internal storage.
Huawei P40 Pro features a bit superior processor than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM. Huawei P40 Pro has improved battery duration than Huawei P20, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh. Huawei P40 Pro features a much better camera than Huawei P20, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a lot larger sensor taking way higher quality videos and photos, better 60 fps video frame rates and a back facing camera with a way higher 50 mega pixels resolution.
