Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Pro has a general score of 88.2, which is a little bit better than the Xperia 5's 81 general score. Even being the best phone in our current comparison, it must be told that it is also a little thicker and much heavier. Xperia 5 features a screen that is very similar to the Huawei P40 Pro one, because although the Xperia 5 has a quite smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 2520 resolution, it also counts with a little greater display density.
Xperia 5 and Huawei P40 Pro both count with really similar processing units, and although the Xperia 5 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores. The Xperia 5 features a lot bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Xperia 5 also has an external SD slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Huawei P40 Pro has better battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh. The Huawei P40 Pro captures much clearer videos and photos than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting pictures and/or video in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a way higher resolution back facing camera, a much bigger back camera sensor capturing way better quality photographs and faster video frame rate.
