Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a global score of 78.7, which is slightly better than the Huawei P8max's global score of 72.1. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's body is newer and way lighter, but also just a little thicker than Huawei P8max. Both devices we are comparing here use Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Huawei P8max has Android 5.1 Lollipop, so it offers a couple additional features.
