The Galaxy S4 is just a bit better than the Huawei P8max, with a 79 score against 72.1. Both phones in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S4 has an older 4.4 version while Huawei P8max has Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Galaxy S4 is a older and somewhat thicker phone than Huawei P8max, but Samsung was able to make it way lighter anyway.
Galaxy S4 counts with a more vivid display than Huawei P8max, because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Galaxy S4 also counts with a better pixels density. The Huawei P8max has a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory, the Huawei P8max also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Huawei P8max features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM and more cores. The Galaxy S4 has a better camera than Huawei P8max, although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and videos, they both have the same video quality, the same video frame rates and a 13 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back.
The Huawei P8max counts with a superior battery performance than Galaxy S4, because it has a 4360mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
