Galaxy S5 Plus is a bit better than Huawei P8max, getting a global score of 78.1 against 72.1. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S5 Plus has older 4.4.2 version and Huawei P8max has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Galaxy S5 Plus's design is much lighter than the Huawei P8max, but it's somewhat thicker and was released just 12 months before.
The Galaxy S5 Plus features a sharper display than Huawei P8max, because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a higher pixels density. The Huawei P8max has a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB, the Huawei P8max also has more internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has just a bit better performance than Huawei P8max, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and 4 lesser CPU cores (although faster), it also counts with an extra GPU. Huawei P8max has a really longer battery duration than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 4360mAh battery size instead of 2800mAh.
Galaxy S5 Plus has a much better camera than Huawei P8max, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low light photos and videos, it also counts with a back facing camera with more mega pixels and a way higher (4K) video resolution.
