Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while Huawei P8max has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Although Xperia 1 III is thicker than Huawei P8max, it's somewhat lighter and noticeably newer.
The Xperia 1 III has a lot better looking screen than Huawei P8max, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a lot greater amount of pixels per inch in the display. The Xperia 1 III features a bit faster CPU than Huawei P8max, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia 1 III also has 9 GB more RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 III shoots greater photographs and videos than Huawei P8max, because although it has a back camera with a lower resolution, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video definition and a bigger aperture. Xperia 1 III features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P8max, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity.
Xperia 1 III has just a bit longer battery life than Huawei P8max, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
