Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has an overall score of 75.8, which is a little bit better than the Huawei P8max's score of 72.1. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro construction is extremely newer and notably lighter than the Huawei P8max's, but it is somewhat thicker. Both phones we are comparing here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and Huawei P8max has Android 5.1 Lollipop, offering a lot of extra features and performance tweaks.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a bit more vivid display than Huawei P8max, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2160 resolution and a just a bit more pixels per inch of display. The Huawei P8max counts with a little faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Huawei P8max and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro both count with quite similar storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, they have equal internal storage and an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro captures much better photographs and videos than Huawei P8max, although it has a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, a back facing camera with less megapixels and a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video.
