Huawei Mate 40 Pro is way better than the Huawei P8 Max, with a 90.9 score against 72.6. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a newer 10 version while Huawei P8 Max has Android 5.0, so it gives a couple nice extra features. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's construction is a lot newer and a bit lighter than the Huawei P8 Max's, but it is also much thicker.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a better performing CPU than Huawei P8 Max, because it has a higher amount of RAM and a greater number of cores. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little sharper display than Huawei P8 Max, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a higher 1334 x 2772 pixels resolution and a higher quantity of pixels per screen inch.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a much better camera than Huawei P8 Max, because it has a way better video definition, a lot more megapixels camera and a bigger aperture to capture better low-light images and videos. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with much more memory for games and applications than Huawei P8 Max, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Huawei P8 Max and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro count with really similar battery performance, although the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
