Comparison review
Galaxy A40 is slightly better than the Huawei P8 Max, with a 79.6 score against 72.6. Even though the Galaxy A40 is somewhat thicker than the Huawei P8 Max, it's lighter and also much newer. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has newer 11 version and Huawei P8 Max has Android 5.0.
The Huawei P8 Max counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy A40, because although it has a way worse pixel density and a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a larger screen. The Samsung Galaxy A40 counts with more memory to store more apps and games than Huawei P8 Max, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 512 GB.
The Galaxy A40 features a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei P8 Max, because it has a higher number of cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Galaxy A40 features a much better camera than Huawei P8 Max, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A40 also has a larger aperture to take better photography in poorly lited environments and a higher 16 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back.
Huawei P8 Max features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A40, because it has a 41 percent larger battery capacity.
