The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an overall score of 79.3, which is just a bit better than Huawei P8 Max's global score of 72.6. Samsung Galaxy Note 5's design is a little thicker but notably lighter than the Huawei P8 Max, and both were only released with a couple months difference. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has newer 5.1 version and Huawei P8 Max has Android 5.0 version, so it provides a couple additional features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei P8 Max, and although they both have 1 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy Note 5 features a more vivid screen than Huawei P8 Max, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a way higher pixel quantity per inch of screen.

The Huawei P8 Max counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Huawei P8 Max also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 128 GB. The Huawei P8 Max has a superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 45 percent bigger battery size.

The Galaxy Note 5 captures way better photos and videos than Huawei P8 Max, because it has a higher 16 MP resolution camera, a way better 3840x2160 video definition and a larger camera aperture for better low light photos.

In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, the Galaxy Note 5 is also by far the cheapest, making it an obvious call.
