Xiaomi 12 Pro has a general score of 79.6, which is slightly better than Huawei P8 Max's 72.6 overall score. Both phones in this comparison review include Android OS, but the Xiaomi 12 Pro has newer 12 version and Huawei P8 Max has Android 5.0 version, so it provides the user lots of additional features and a performance increase. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is a a lot newer and somewhat lighter phone than Huawei P8 Max, although it's also thicker.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a better looking screen than Huawei P8 Max, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much better amount of pixels per display inch and a lot higher 1440 x 3200 resolution. Xiaomi 12 Pro counts with a slightly bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei P8 Max, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Huawei P8 Max counts with a way better hardware performance than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has 7 less CPU cores and a lower amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi 12 Pro has a bit superior battery lifetime than Huawei P8 Max, because it has a 4600mAh battery size instead of 4360mAh. The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a lot better camera than Huawei P8 Max, because it has a back-facing camera with a way better resolution, a way higher 7680x4320 video resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photography.
