Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS (operating system), but Motorola Moto E has older 4.4.4 version and Kyocera Hydro Wave has Android 5.1 version. The Motorola Moto E is an older and thicker cellphone than the Kyocera Hydro Wave, but Motorola was able to build it just a little lighter anyway.

The Motorola Moto E features a little bit better screen than Kyocera Hydro Wave, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same exact 960 x 540 resolution, the Motorola Moto E also counts with a little bit more pixels per display inch. The Motorola Moto E has a bit better processing unit than Kyocera Hydro Wave, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Motorola Moto E also has a graphics processor and 1 more 1.2 gigahertz cpu cores.

The Kyocera Hydro Wave features a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto E, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 32 GB, the Kyocera Hydro Wave also has 8 GB internal storage capacity. The Kyocera Hydro Wave counts with a very superior camera than Moto E. Both of them have the same resolution back-facing camera.
