Kyocera Hydro Wave is a decently made Android phone launched in July 2015, provisioned with a pretty large 5-inches display, a powerful 1.2 gigahertz processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera.
Kyocera ships the Kyocera Hydro Wave with a fast 1200 MHz processing unit, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 8916 chip and 1 GB RAM. The Kyocera Hydro Wave has anice 8 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card, which allows the user to install hundreds of games and applications without worrying about space.
Kyocera just sells this cellphone in black color. This cellphone is much lighter than what you expect from a phone of this size. Whereas the Kyocera Hydro Wave is just 5.66 inches long and 2.85" wide, it is still able to fit a a 5 inches display. This cellphone's thickness , 0.42", is quite far from today's standards, but it still feels quite right in the user's hand.
Kyocera packed the Kyocera Hydro Wave with a interesting 5" display, and a 960 x 540 resolution, giving this phone a good level graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
This phone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. It can also capture videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 fps. The camera also has a couple of good features like auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.
This phone comes with a great 2300 mAh Li - Ion non-replaceable battery that provides this cellphone an average battery duration. Kyocera afirms this device has a 600 hs stand by time and a 18 hours talk time. An issue to take into consideration is that the Kyocera Hydro Wave's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to last shorter, although having 2300 mAh you will probably buy a new cellphone before that happens.
This cellphone provides wi-fi connection (but it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a router or modem), LTE 4G high performance connectivity and fast 3G connection type, using HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Kyocera Hydro Wave works with a SIM card to use GSM services.
The Kyocera Hydro Wave also features a handful of cool features like Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone is priced 125 dollars, very expensive for a cellphone this level.
