Samsung Stratosphere is an interesting cellphone released in October 2011, coming with a good performance 1000 MHz processor, a 4 inches multi-touch screen, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.
Samsung didn't put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.8 ounces phone, way heavier than other similar phones. The Samsung Stratosphere is a little bit thick for today's standards, with a thickness of 0.55 inches.
Samsung decided to build this phone using a good performance 1 gigahertz processor with 512 MB of RAM memory. The Samsung Stratosphere comes with a 4 GB internal storage, a passable quantity that should be enough considering this cellphone also has an SD extension slot to store photographs and videos.
This phone is equipped with a good looking 4" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, making everything look very good. Its display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
The Samsung Stratosphere features two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It is also able to shoot videos up to 720x480 . In addition, this phone's camera also has flash.
The Samsung Stratosphere uses a good 1800 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a poor battery life. According to Samsung, this device has an estimated 212 hs stand by time and a 8 hs talk time.
This cellphone has Wi-Fi connection (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a wireless modem), LTE 4G high speed internet connection and 3G connection type, supported by EV-DO A technologies. This device doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks and it can work with CDMA networks.
The Samsung Stratosphere also includes a couple cool features such as Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
Samsung is selling the Samsung Stratosphere for 80 dollars, which is somewhat expensive for this kind of phone. No matter if you will use it to play games or want it mainly for social networks, you will probably be very happy with this cellphone.
