Samsung Stratosphere Review

2 GB LTE (SCH-I405U)     See other variants reviews Score: 56.1 / 100

Samsung Stratosphere is a mid level cellphone released back in the year 2011, packing a 4 inches multi-touch display, a processing unit running at 1 GHz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front camera.

The Samsung Stratosphere is equipped with a fast processor ticking at 1000 megahertz and 512 MB RAM. This phone comes with areasonable 2 GB internal storage memory, which is fine having that the Samsung Stratosphere also has an SD card slot to store songs, photographs and videos and even some applications that allow external memory installation.

It appears that Samsung forgot about optimizing the weight, leaving it live with a weight of 5.8 oz. This cellphone is a bit thick compared to nowadays phones, being as thick as 0.55".

This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. The Samsung Stratosphere can also film 720x480 videos. In addition, this phone's camera also counts with flash.

The Samsung Stratosphere includes a good looking 4 inches screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, making everything look very good. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This phone has WiFi capability (and it can provide it to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) fast internet connection and 3G connectivity, supported by EV-DO A technologies. The Samsung Stratosphere doesn't use a sim card, because it's not a GSM enabled phone and it can work with CDMA networks.

The Samsung Stratosphere uses a mid capacity 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will need to charge it even after moderate usage. Samsung informs a 336 hs stand by time and a 7 hours talk time for this phone.

This phone also features a couple of nice features such as Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Samsung Stratosphere is really overpriced considering it costs $ 120, and some similar cellphones are offerred way cheaper than that. No matter if you want a phone to mostly use social networks or will use this device for gaming, you will definitely be very pleased with this phone.
