Asus ZenFone 5 is a good phone released in 2014, with an extremely fast Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1.6 GHz, a good size 5-inches capacitive screen, and two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 megapixels front camera. But it's time to get into some more details.
The Asus ZenFone 5 is equipped with a Intel Atom Z2560 chip, packing a very fast Dual-Core processor clocking at 1600 megahertz and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit disappointing comparing with its impressive CPU. This phone counts with anice 8 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card, allowing you to install hundreds of apps without running out of space.
This cellphone is only 5.83 inches long and 2.87 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 5 inches screen. Even though this phone is quite slim and comfortable it's not as thin as many other phones on sale, with a thickness of 0.41 inches. Asus made the Asus ZenFone 5 in many color variations: black, purple, red, white and gold. Asus did a very nice design job making this cellphone as lightweight as 5.11 oz.
This cellphone is equipped with a good level 5" display with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the display. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.
This cellphone provides wifi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a wireless modem or router), HSPA+ 4G internet connection, that is not as fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM services.
This cellphone has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front camera. It can also shoot Full HD 1920x1080 videos. The camera also has a few nice features like auto-focus, flash, digital image stabilization and geo tagging.
This phone also includes a handful of cool features as Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth phones, computers and accessories) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The Asus ZenFone 5 counts with a 2110 mAh amazing Li-Polymer battery that can keep this cellphone running for several hours, but you may need to charge it after some heavy use.
This cellphone may be a little expensive considering it costs 89 dollars, and other similar cellphones are being sold for less than that. The Asus ZenFone 5 is a very good choice for you it doesn't matter whether you want a gamer phone or want a social cellphone.
