The Sony Xperia E is slightly better than the Kyocera Hydro XTRM, with a 51.5 score against 47.1. The Sony Xperia E construction is a little thicker but lighter than the Kyocera Hydro XTRM, and both of them were released only a couple months apart. Both devices in this review have the same Android 4.1 OS (operating system).
Kyocera Hydro XTRM has a better screen than Sony Xperia E, because it has a lot better resolution of 800 x 480, a little bit bigger display and a higher pixels density. The Xperia E features as much storage capacity to install applications and games as the Kyocera Hydro XTRM one, both of them have an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB and the same 4 GB internal storage.
The Kyocera Hydro XTRM features a little faster processing unit than Xperia E, because it has a faster GPU and a larger number of faster cores. Xperia E features a very superior battery lifetime than Kyocera Hydro XTRM. Kyocera Hydro XTRM takes much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia E, because it has a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.
The Xperia E is not only the best phones between the ones we are comparing, but it's also a lot cheaper, which makes this phone an obvious call.
