Sony Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is slightly better than the LG G5's general score of 76.1. The Sony Xperia 5 is a noticeably newer cellphone than the LG G5, although it's a little heavier and just a little bit thicker. LG G5 counts with a slightly better display than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better screen density and a slightly higher 1440 x 2560 resolution.
Sony Xperia 5 counts with just a little better hardware performance than LG G5, because it has more RAM memory and more CPU cores. The LG G5 counts with just a bit better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have a same size sensor, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the LG G5 also counts with a much better resolution camera.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the LG G5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG G5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 5, else you can save some money and buy the LG G5, letting go a couple features and specs.
