Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a global score of 78.7, which is a bit better than the LG G6's 75.6 general score. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the older 8.0 Oreo version and LG G6 has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro design is a bit heavier but just a little thinner than the LG G6, and they were released only 2 months apart.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit superior processing unit than LG G6, because it has more RAM and a greater number of cores. The LG G6 features a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a bit more pixels per inch of display, a slightly higher 1440 x 2880px resolution and a quite larger display.
LG G6 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the LG G6 also counts with a larger camera aperture for better photos in low light environments and a more MP camera in the back.
The LG G6 features a way bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features greater battery duration than LG G6, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG G6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G6. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the LG G6, resigning some features and specifications.
