Comparison review

LG G5 is a bit better than LG G6, with a 76.1 score against 75.6. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS, but the LG G5 has the previous 8.0 Oreo version while LG G6 has Android 9.0 Pie. LG G5 is an older device than LG G6, but LG was able to make it a little bit thinner and a bit lighter.

The LG G6 counts with a slightly better display than LG G5, because it has a quite larger display, a slightly higher 1440 x 2880px resolution and a little greater quantity of pixels in each inch of display. LG G5 has as much memory capacity to store more games and applications as LG G6, they have a SD card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB and equal internal storage.

The LG G5 has a processing unit that's just as good as the LG G6 one, they have 4 GB of RAM and 4 processing cores. The LG G6 counts with greater battery life than LG G5, because it has a 3300mAh battery size. LG G5 has just a bit better camera than LG G6, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the LG G5 also has a more megapixels back-facing camera and a bigger back camera sensor which offers a better photo and video quality.

Although LG G5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG G6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the LG G6. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the LG G6, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
