Motorola Edge 40 is just a bit better than LG G6, getting a 77.2 score against 75.6. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola Edge 40 has the older 13 version and LG G6 has Android 9.0 Pie. Motorola Edge 40's construction is extremely newer and a little bit thinner than LG G6's, but it's just a bit heavier.
The LG G6 features a much better performing CPU than Motorola Edge 40, although it has lesser RAM memory and lesser CPU cores (although they are faster). Motorola Edge 40 counts with a little more vivid screen than LG G6, because although it has a lot worse 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a much worse pixel density, it also counts with a little larger display.
The Motorola Edge 40 shoots much better photos and videos than LG G6, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a way larger camera aperture to capture better low light images and videos, a lot bigger sensor providing a way higher image quality and a way more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
LG G6 counts with a superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Motorola Edge 40 has better battery lifetime than LG G6, because it has a 33 percent more battery size.
