Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 is a bit better than the LG G6, with a score of 77.6 against 75.6. Even though Xperia Z5 is older than LG G6, it's construction is just a little thinner and a little bit lighter. Both phones in this comparison have Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Z5 has older 5.1 version while LG G6 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Xperia Z5 has a little faster processor than LG G6, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (although slower) and an extra GPU. Xperia Z5 features a little sharper display than LG G6, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a just a little inferior count of pixels per screen inch and a quite smaller screen.
Sony Xperia Z5 has a slightly better camera than LG G6, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same (4K) video definition and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a lot bigger sensor providing a much better image quality and a lot more megapixels back-facing camera.
The LG G6 has a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the LG G6 also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The LG G6 features a little better battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG G6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G6. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy LG G6, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
