The LG G8 ThinQ has a global score of 84.3, which is better than LG G3's 76.4 overall score. Both devices in this comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but LG G8 ThinQ has a newer 9.0 Pie version while LG G3 has Android 5.0 version, giving a couple nice extra features. LG G8 ThinQ's body is extremely newer and a bit thinner than LG G3's, but it is also heavier.

The LG G8 ThinQ features a bit better processing power than LG G3, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and also faster). LG G3 features a little more vivid screen than LG G8 ThinQ, although it has a little bit lower 2560 x 1440 resolution, much lower brightness, a bit worse pixel number per inch of display and a little smaller display.

The LG G8 ThinQ has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than LG G3, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal storage. LG G8 ThinQ captures clearer photos and videos than LG G3, because although it has a worse (4K) video resolution and a back camera with less mega-pixels, it also counts with a way larger camera aperture to take better low-light images and videos and a larger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with just a little better battery lifetime than LG G3, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

The LG G8 ThinQ and the LG G3 cost exactly the same, making this phone a very good choice.
