The LG G8 ThinQ is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ1, getting an 84.3 score against 78.3. The LG G8 ThinQ construction is newer, but thicker and just a little heavier than Xperia XZ1. The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a sharper screen than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a larger screen, more pixels per display inch and a lot higher 1440 x 3120 resolution.
LG G8 ThinQ counts with just a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 2 GB more RAM. The Sony Xperia XZ1 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a lot smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting photographs and videos in low-light situations and worse 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor taking better quality photos and a way higher resolution back camera.
The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a quite bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 1,95 TB, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 128 GB internal memory capacity. The LG G8 ThinQ features superior battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity.
