The Galaxy S III has a score of 69.7, which is a bit better than the LG Optimus G's 65.8 overall score. Even though the Galaxy S III and the LG Optimus G were released only a couple months apart, the Galaxy S III design is just a bit lighter but a little bit thicker than the LG Optimus G. Both phones in this comparison work with Android operating system, but Galaxy S III has a newer 4.3 version while LG Optimus G has Android 4.1.2, so it offers a couple additional features and improved performance.
Galaxy S III features a little more vivid display than LG Optimus G, because although it has a just a little lower pixel density and a bit lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, it also counts with a quite larger screen. Galaxy S III counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than LG Optimus G, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Galaxy S III also counts with a faster 1.06 gigahertz graphics processing unit.
The Galaxy S III features a much better camera than LG Optimus G. Both of them have a 8 mega pixels resolution back camera, the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate. Galaxy S III counts with as much memory capacity to store more apps and games as the LG Optimus G one, both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 64 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy S III's battery duration is just as good as LG Optimus G's battery performance.
