Both phones in this comparison work with Android operating system, but Galaxy S III has a newer 4.3 version while LG Optimus G has Android 4.1.2, so it offers a couple additional features and improved performance.

Galaxy S III features a little more vivid display than LG Optimus G, because although it has a just a little lower pixel density and a bit lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, it also counts with a quite larger screen.
