LG Optimus G Review

LG Optimus G is a high-end Android phone launched in October 2012, including a medium 4.7" multi-touch display, an extremely powerful 1500 megahertz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the tip of the iceberg.

LG appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 5.19 oz device. This cellphone has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.33". This cellphone is a very compact cellphone, given that it packs a 4.7 inches screen and it's only 5.15 inches long and 2.82" wide. LG offers the LG Optimus G in black and white.

LG packed this phone with an astonishing 4.7" display, and a resolution of 1280 x 768 , giving this cellphone a high level graphical experience. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

LG ships the LG Optimus G with a very powerful 1.5 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, packed into the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 system chip and a big 2 GB RAM memory. Helping with graphic intensive games and applications, this device also has an Adreno 320 GPU working at 400 MHz. This phone comes with anice 16 GB internal memory and an SD memory slot, which allows the user to install a couple hundred games and applications without any trouble.

This phone features WiFi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices acting as a modem), LTE 4G fast connectivity and 3G fast internet connection, supported by HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This device has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera. This cellphone can also film Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. This phone also counts with a lot of valuable characteristics like flash, fast burst mode, auto-focus, face detection shooting, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone also includes some cool characteristics as NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone counts with a 2100 mAh big capacity Li-Polymer non-removable battery, which isn't very much for a cellphone like this. LG claims this phone has a talk time of 10 hours and a stand by time of 324 hs. An issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery isn't replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to last shorter, though with such a great capacity you will probably replace this cellphone before that becomes a real problem.

LG is offering the LG Optimus G for $ 449, which is a very high price for comparing with similar phones. This cellphone is probably the right choice for you no matter whether you you love taking pictures, want a work device, will use this cellphone mainly for social networks or want this cellphone for playing games.
