LG V30S ThinQ has an overall score of 82.5, which is a bit better than the Galaxy A8 Star's overall score of 82.1. Even though LG V30S ThinQ and Galaxy A8 Star were released with only a few months difference, LG V30S ThinQ is a little thinner and lighter. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but LG V30S ThinQ has 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy A8 Star has Android 9.0 Pie.
The LG V30S ThinQ counts with a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880px and a higher pixels density. The LG V30S ThinQ has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star. Both have 6 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Galaxy A8 Star takes slightly better photographs and videos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a 16 mega pixels back-facing camera and the same (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a bigger sensor taking better quality photographs.
