The LG V30S ThinQ is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XZ3, getting an 82.5 score against 79.6. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but the LG V30S ThinQ has 8.0 Oreo version while Sony Xperia XZ3 has Android 9.0 Pie. LG V30S ThinQ's construction is way thinner and lighter than the Sony Xperia XZ3, even when they were released only a couple months apart.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a bit more powerful processor than LG V30S ThinQ, although it has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a little sharper display than LG V30S ThinQ. They have the same screen pixel density, the same exact resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and a screen of the same size.

The Xperia XZ3 counts with just a bit better camera than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with a lot larger back-facing camera sensor shooting way higher quality videos and photographs and a camera with a higher 19 MP resolution.

The LG V30S ThinQ features a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Xperia XZ3, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity. Sony Xperia XZ3 and LG V30S ThinQ both have very similar battery durations, although the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has 3330mAh of battery capacity.

The LG V30S ThinQ costs a bit more money than the Sony Xperia XZ3, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
